Bios

Ashlee Duncan is an award-winning photographer and is pursuing a Film and Video Studies degree at George Mason University. In high school, her eye for photography evolved into a love for the art of creating “moving pictures.” With seventeen years of dance training also under her belt, it’s no surprise that this film student would find a way to combine her passions for dance and film into what is now, “Dancing with the Patriots.” She acquired many of the skills needed to coordinate a production while serving as yearbook editor for four years. She worked at the Federal Communications Commission conducting outreach for two years and now interns in the communications office at the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA). Ashlee is also on a competitive swing dance team coached by world champion, Benjamin Ricard. She hopes that Dancing with the Patriots will encourage viewers of all dance or non-dance backgrounds to take advantage of the opportunities offered at GMU and in the DC Metro area.

Jessica Williams is a German American student here at George Mason University majoring in Film and Video Studies and minoring in Chinese. In Dancing with the Patriots she is the Assistant Director making sure everything runs smoothly and just the Ashlee Duncan wants. As a Freshmen she wasn’t very experienced at first but quickly caught up to speed with the other team members. Originally she started out as a volunteer for this production due to the requirement from her COMM 355 class but enjoyed it so much she stuck with it till the end and treated it as if it were also her project.
